By car

From the North

You drive in direction of Berlin - on to A 111, until it merges with A 100 Stay on the A 100 and use exit ICC or Kurfürstendamm or continue further along to exit Hohenzollerndamm.If you take the exit ICC turn right and right again You are now on Kantstraße. Follow it to crossing Kaiser-Friedrich-Straße, and turn right. Turn left into Kurfürstendamm ein, and turn right at Olivaer Platz at the small trafic light and continue into Lietzenburger Strasse. On the third big crossroad turn right into Nürnberger Strasse/Spichernstrasse. Straught after turning you have to turn left into Geisbergstrasse and then again right into Grainauer Strasse. House number 7a/5b are on the left side.

If you exit at Kurfürstendamm turn straight onto Kurfürstendamm.

Drive down Kurfürstendammturn and turn right at Olivaer Platz at the small trafic light and continue into Lietzenburger Strasse. On the third big crossroad turn right into Nürnberger Strasse/Spichernstrasse. Straught after turning you have to turn left into Geisbergstrasse and then again right into Grainauer Strasse. House number 7a/5b are on the left side.

Or you can continue to exit Hohenzollerndamm, turn left into Hohenzollerndamm and coninue down to the end. The road will become Nachodstraße (becomes narrower - from 4 to 2 lanes) and when this happens turn left at the first traffic light into Grainauer Straße. House number 7a /5b are on the right side (look at arrival from South /West). To get to the entrance doors of the respective houses you have to go into the courtyard.

From South / West

Drive in the direction of Zentrum/Zehlendorf onto A 115. When this ends take exit ICC and turn right behind the building into Kantstrasse. You can follow directions from the North from there on.

The other option will be going onto Stadtring Süd direction of Dresden and Schönefeld and continue to exit Hohenzollerndamm. turn left into Hohenzollerndamm and coninue down to the end. The road will become Nachodstraße (becomes narrower - from 4 to 2 lanes) and when this happens turn left at the first traffic light into Grainauer Straße. House number 7a /5b are on the right side (look at arrival from South /West). To get to the entrance doors of the respective houses you have to go into the courtyard.

From East

If you come in from the East go via the Berlin ring road, Berliner Ring. If you come from Northeast follow the directions from North, if you come from Zehlendorf follow directions from the South.

By train

Get off at Hauptbahnhof or Spandau and take the S-Bahn to station Zoologischer Garten. There, you will change into U-Bahn line 9 direction of Rathaus Steglitz, and go two stops to Spichernstrasse. Get off at the front of the train and walk to the station of U-Bahnlinie 3. There you have to walk underneath the line and then use the exit to the right. Under a house you can walk into Regensburger Strasse which you can walk along. At the next crossroad turn left into Grainauer Strasse. Change over to the other side of the street. On your right you will see a small wine shop called Gattas, then there is a walkway into a courtyard. Go through it and please when arriving early or late be as quiet as possible. House number 7a is the middle house on the left, house nr 5b is the last house in the back row to the right.

By plane

At Tegel airport take bus nr X 9, which goes to S + U-Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten. There you change into tube line 9 direction of Rathaus Steglitz and go on it for two stops to Spichernstrasse. Get out at the front of the train and continue to the direction of U-Bahnlinie 3. There you have to cross under the line and use the exit on the right. Under a house you can walk into Regensburger Strasse which you can walk along. At the next crossroad turn left into Grainauer Strasse. Change over to the other side of the street. On your right you will see a small wine shop called Gattas, then there is a walkway into a courtyard. Go through it and please when arriving early or late be as quiet as possible. House number 7a is the middle house on the left, house nr 5b is the last house in the back row to the right.

If you should arrive at Schönefeld airport you can take one of the regional trains (R7 direction Belzig) to Zoo station. The regional express train is faster than the S-Bahn and does not cost anything more. Then change into tube line 9 direction of Rathaus Steglitz and go on it for two stops to Spichernstrasse. Get out at the front of the train and continue to the direction of U-Bahnlinie 3. There you have to cross under the line and use the exit on the right. You can also take the Schönefeld airport bus SXF1 to Bahnhof Südkreuz station. There you change into the S-Bahn S 46 direction Westend (Ring). Go to station Heidelberger Platz and change into U-Bahn line 3 direction of Nollendorfplatz, and get off at Spichernstraße. Read on further down how to get to the house.

Another option is taking bus number 171 direction iof Herrmannplatz and get off at U-Bahnhof Grenzallee. Change into U-Bahn-Linie 7 direction of Rathaus Spandau and go to Berliner Straße. There you change into U-Bahn-Linie 9 direction Osloer Straße and get off at Spichernstraße. Read on further down how to get to the house.

Please note that public transport tickets are valid on any public transport in Berlin, bus, S-Bahn, regional train and U-Bahn. You can change between them without having to pay again.

By car

From the North

On the third big crossroad turn right onto Nürnberger Strasse/Spichernstrasse. Straight after turning you will need to go left again into Geisbergstrasse. Take the first turn to the right and you are in Grainauer Strasse. The houses are on the left side..

If you go to exit Hohenzollerndamm, turn left onto Hohenzollerndamm and follow it to the end. It becomes Nachodstraße on a four lane intersection and after you have reached Nachodstraße turn left at the first traffic light. The houses are on the right side. You have to walk into the courtyard to reach the entrance to the apartments.

From South/West

Go to direction Zentrum/Zehlendorf on A 115. When this ends, take the exit ICC and then turn right into Kantstraße, or follow directions from North or you turn onto the Stadtring Süd (direction Dresden / Schönefeld) and go to exit Hohenzollerndamm Turn left onto Hohenzollerndamm and follow it to the end. It becomes Nachodstraße on a four lane intersection and after you have reached Nachodstraße turn left at the first traffic light. The houses are on the right side. You have to walk into the courtyard to reach the entrance to the apartments.

From the East

If you come from South East or North East, follow Berliner Ring. If you come in via Stolpe, follow the instructions from the North, oif you come in via Zehlendorf, follow the instructions from the South.

By train

Get off at Hauptbahnhof or Spandau and take the S-Bahn to Zoologischer Garten. There, find the U-Bahn no. 9 direction Rathaus Steglitz, and go two stops. Get off at Spichernstrasse at the front of the train. Follow the signs to U-Bahn line 3 but cross underneath the line and take the right exit to street level. From there, proceed through a house that you can walk through into Regensburger Strasse.
Walk along and turn on the first street to the left, that is Grainauer Strasse. Cross the street and after 250 m you will see a wine shop and a small cafe and then a gate for cars to exit through an archway.
Walk into the courtyard through that archway. House number 5b is the first house on the right in the back row; house number 7a is the middle house in the front row. Please be as quiet as possible in the courtyard.

By plane

Take at Flughafen Tegel Bus X 9. It goes to S + U-Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten.

There, find the U-Bahn no. 9 direction Rathaus Steglitz, and go two stops. Get off at Spichernstrasse at the front of the train. Follow the signs to U-Bahn line 3 but cross underneath the line and take the right exit to street level. From there, proceed through a house that you can walk through into Regensburger Strasse.
Walk along and turn on the first street to the left, that is Grainauer Strasse. Cross the street and after 250 m you will see a wine shop and a small cafe and then a gate for cars to exit through an archway.
Walk into the courtyard through that archway. House number 5b is the first house on the right in the back row; house number 7a is the middle house in the front row. Please be as quiet as possible in the courtyard.

If you arrive at Schönefeld you can take a Regionalexpress train (R7 direction Belzig) to Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten. The Regionalexpress is faster than the S-Bahn and costs the same. There, find the U-Bahn no. 9 towards Rathaus Steglitz, and stay on it for two stops. Get off at Spichernstrasse at the front of the train. You can take the airport bus SXF1 to station Südkreuz. There take the S-Bahn S 46 direction Westend (Ring). Go to Heidelberger Platz station and change to U-Bahn Linie 3 towards Nollendorfplatz, and get off at Spichernstraße at the back of the train. Take the exit right behind you and exit to street level. From there, proceed through a house that you can walk through into Regensburger Strasse.

And this is how you get to the house:

From Schönefeld Airport take the S-Bahn or the Schönefeld Express train which would be much quicker to Zoologischer Garten.
Take that and get off and find the U-Bahn.
Take the U-Bahn from Zoologischer Garten line 9 to Rathaus Steglitz. After 2 stops, get out in the front of the train at Spichernstraße.
Follow the signs to U-Bahn line 3 but cross underneath the line and take the right exit to street level. From there, proceed through a house that you can walk through into Regensburger Strasse.
